Qualification summary

With over 15 years of total experience, Ms. Smith has broad experience in SME Finance, banking, business development, trade and investment. She has over eight years of cumulative field expertise in Uganda, Kosovo, Armenia, and Georgia, as well as a demonstrated ability to collaborate directly and effectively with local professionals, business leaders and government official to deliver results. On the Helping Business Succeed (HBS) project in Kenya, she has worked with SME exporters to complete over 150 new trade deals valued at $450,000 and created 120 new permanent jobs. Has completed detailed sector and gap analysis for 7 leading industries in Kenya as well developed export promotion plans and marketing strategies for over 35 businesses. To date, these efforts have resulted in over $450,000 in new trade deals for Kenyan SMEs in just under 1 year of operations with several large scale deals in the pipeline. Has provided extensive trainings and capacity building to local associations in the areas of accounting, outreach, database development, and management.
